Data can be used to identify inequities in the school system and create a more socially just educational environment. Future school counselors need to learn to use data to identify and address student needs. Infusing needs assessments, advocacy projects, and closing the gap reports into the curriculum can help them learn to use data to inform program development. In this session, participants will learn methods for training students to analyze and utilize "real world" school data, and different activities, assignments, and assessments that can be incorporated into the curriculum.
