This session will focus on counselor-in-training perceived competency in working with LGB clients. This session is intentionally designed to be an open conversation based on the results of a dissertation research study. The author believes that through open, honest dialogue about the topic of counseling the LGB population, without defensiveness, counselor education can continue to progress as a profession that continues to affirm all people without creating hierachies or stratifications.
