Among adolescents, peers hold considerable sway. As in the U.S., group intervention has been found to be effective when working with adolescents. The presenter designed a 4 session psychoeducational group intervention for at-risk, Malaysian, female, teen, orphans by intermingling aspects of Carrel (western intervention) and the three main principles of usrah (Muslim study circle - Taaruf, Taffahum, and Takaful).
